Science has transformed the way we understand the universe, revealing extraordinary precision woven through everything from the smallest particles to the vastness of space. Yet with every new discovery come questions science itself cannot answer.
Physics can describe how the universe behaves, but it cannot explain why such order exists in the first place. The deepest questions of reality are not measurements; they are invitations to seek their Author.
Scripture speaks into the questions that lie beyond the reach of science. Before there was matter, there was wisdom, and before there was time, there was purpose. Before there was creation, there was the eternal Word through whom all things were made and by whom all things continue to hold together. This is why Scripture calls us to seek first the Kingdom of God, because the architecture beneath reality is not chaos, chance, or competing powers, but the wisdom and lordship of Christ.
“The LORD by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens.”
Proverbs 3:19 NKJV
This changes how we see the world around us. We no longer chase mysteries for their own sake, nor are we unsettled by what we cannot yet explain. Instead, we learn to trust the One who already knows every answer because He is the Author and ultimate Source of all things. The pursuit of truth is more than collecting information; it is about growing in the knowledge of the One in whom all wisdom, life, and purpose are found. The greatest discovery is not hidden knowledge, but the One in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. Christ is not simply the answer to our questions. He is the Source of truth, life, wisdom, and purpose, and through Him all things hold together.
Action Steps:
Prayer:
Father, thank You that You are not only the Creator of all things, but also the One who upholds them by Your wisdom and power. Teach me to seek You above knowledge, to pursue truth with humility, and to trust that what I cannot yet understand is never beyond Your sovereign care and wisdom. Deepen my confidence in Christ, through whom all things were made and in whom all things hold together. May my search for understanding always lead me into deeper relationship with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Shalom!
