Steps That Are Ordered

Moving from one point to another usually involves several steps. The planning and execution of such a task, be it simple or otherwise, would not only be about the actual steps to take, but also about the factors, threats and limitations that come into play. We often try to order and organize our own lives, in a way that makes logical and learnt sense, but, God orders the steps of the righteous. There are many steps to take, but it is divine order that will take the cake.

“The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the LORD, And He delights in his way [and blesses his path].“
Psalm 37:23 AMP

God’s superior and righteous way of doing things is often a totally different sequence from ours. Initially it may not even make sense to us, but this is the very reason we must allow our steps to be ordered by The Almighty One. Scriptures tell us that His ways and thoughts are not like ours, and it also tells us that His Spirit will lead us into all truth. We have been adequately warned and guided to seek God’s face in everything we do, to wait on the Lord for His answer, and to not put our confidence in human reasoning, opinions, predictions and wisdom.

As our days on earth become more interesting, we need our steps to be determined, verified and directed by God alone. Doing things His way and in His time, will reduce pressure and increase peace – because the One who cannot fail would be in the driver’s seat. So, let us get right with Him today and diligently follow the next step that He orders.
