It Comes By Hearing

On a daily basis we hear conflicting things from several sources including ourselves. We hear the suggestions of the enemy, we hear and read from others, and we also hear the narratives of the world we live in. Most important, we have the capacity to hear from God. We have quite a bit on the hearing buffet line but at the end of the day, we are responsible for what we choose to hear. Hearing is neutral, so what we hear can be harmful or beneficial. 

If faith comes by hearing, then it means fear also comes by hearing. It is wisdom to guard our gates and entry points, and to walk in the path of Truth. For we must consciously select what we agree with and who we allow to influence us. It is quite interesting how our ears are shaped like a womb. And I believe that is God’s reminder to us that we birth and develop our beliefs, decisions and deeds from what we allow to be implanted in our ears.

One of the reasons I emphasize God so much is because I have an aversion to wasting time and for things that amount to nothing in the end. God is the Author of life and the universe, so He is the ultimate, legitimate and perfectly innocent source. What God says is what matters most, for that is how faith flows and the soul glows.

As you take responsibility for what you allow your self to hear, note these two reminders to filter and reform what comes to your ears.
