The first answer to any stress and mess you are in right now is – Do not worry. It’s not the kind of answer that makes sense, seeing that worry tends to be one of our automatic responses, but that is the very reason we are reminded. Worry is a trap, and It renders us incapable of being resilient, receptive and righteous. Choose not to worry for worry makes things worse.
“Worry is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind. If encouraged, it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained.” Arthur Somers Roche
What worries you masters you, so let’s flip the script. The second part of the answer is the crux of the solution, but it follows the first. Instead of using your energy to worry, choose to use it to seek, sow and secure the divine treasures applicable to your situation.
What treasures? – The way, will and Word of God in your current circumstance.
Consider these questions as you carve your anti-worry posture and unearth truth in your problem.
1. What does the Word of God say about my situation? – Seek it, Speak it, Seal it!
2. What is God showing me about myself, about others, and about the situation itself? – Insight gives you the height to make things right!
3. How would Jesus respond in a situation like this? – Righteous responses block and stop the enemy’s plot!
Your answer to stress is to replace worry and your need for control with, trust, prayer and obedience to God.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
