When Life Throws a Curveball

Who hasn’t had their plans turned upside down? One minute all seems well, then next, BAM!, Life throws you a curveball. Maybe your dream job didn’t pan out, or a relationship didn’t work out as envisioned. In those moments, it’s clear that God’s lines and our lines aren’t always aligned. It is time for our GPS to be synced with the Divine.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV

I learned this the hard way, when my own plans and safety nets got derailed, but I now know that surrendering to God’s blueprint is superior wisdom. When we try to draw our own lines, we end up with a messy piece instead of a masterpiece. But when we let God take the lead, He redefines, refines, and realigns our paths with life, truth, beauty, and divine blessings. His ways might seem mysterious, but they’re always good and purposeful.

God’s lines are represented by His Word, perfect will, ways of escape, and divine timing. They are not meant to erase our dreams but to bring us back in order with our God-given identity, authority, and destiny. So, when your plans get redrawn, don’t freak out! He is the God who causes all things to work out for our good, so see it as an opportunity and a future testimony. Let’s learn to trust the Divine lines that define, refine, and realign our lives – and watch our faith steps produce a masterpiece.
