Turn Back and Live

Everything has pros and cons, and at every juncture of decision, we have to choose between right, wrong and the obscure. Some cons are worth it in the end, but when it comes to wrongs, or likely wrong, do your best to avoid that bend. We must condition and discipline ourselves to recognize and refrain from any path that leads to decay, destruction and disservice.

” I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign Lord. Turn back and live!“
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭18‬:‭32‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We have enough evidence to see that there is great wisdom in turning away from sin, wrongs and unrighteous living. Make no mistake, sin looks appealing and convincing on the surface, but when you choose to look deeper you will see the deadly fine print. Sin defrauds, drowns and leads us towards death. We can only overcome sin through the power and partnership of God, so pursuing a new heart and a new spirit is our first priority. And, as we remain in Him, we become more empowered to keept our rebellious nature under discipline. God has the plan, the unction and the way to curb our propensity to sin and to renew our skins.

It is time to turn back and live! Here is how we play our part to change into new skins.

SURRENDER – give up your faulty and defenseless way, to yield and align with God’s plan and brand. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life… and head of the winning team.
INTIMACY – invest in developing an intimate relationship with God and in getting your own oil from Him. Allow yourself to experience, enjoy and encounter His secret place and His face.
MIND RENEWAL – make the time to read and mediate on the written Word of God. Ask questions of the Lord, contemplate the details, and activate the Word in your thinking and reasoning.
STEP DIFFERENTLY and DECISIVELY – be led by the Holy Spirit and don’t walk or make decisions without Him. Allow the wisdom and instructions of the Word to dictate your postures, actions and responses.
SACRED HABITS & NEW DIET – create new and healthy habits, institute guard rails to keep you on the straight and away from the risky place. Commit to the discipline of subduing your own earth (flesh) and curbing your appetites and hungers.

Have a great day!
