The New Seed We Need

It is so fascinating to me how one seed carries the potential of a tree, that then produces fruits that produces multiple seeds that do the same. Interestingly, everything in life is like a seed, including our existence. And along the course of our development we create several other categories of seeds that define our identity, reality, and influence. You are a seed empowered to produce crops of seeds. 

As a seed, we have no control over the context of our generation but we have some control over the prospect of our germination. Our beliefs, meditations, utterances, responses are all seeds! Seeds that piece together and determine our state of mind and heart, our experiences and our impact on others. How you and I choose to water and cultivate our lives matters!

Not every seed is being cultivated well – to thrive, align and produce good fruit with good generational seeds. In so many ways we make a mess and continue to miss the possibilities and potential for improvement, escape and recovery. From generation to generation we are interconnected and susceptible to the poor decisions of the human race…. but God is doing a new thing and making a way! A way out of the corresponding consequences and penalties of our choices, conditions and confusion. God injected and engrafted a new and perfect seed.

“ Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43: 18-19

We have the new seed that we need! Through God’s new, unhealthy cycles will be broken, processes purged, godly order restored and abundant life produced. You and I must now own our ability to respond to God’s divine intervention and gracious promises. We have to own our responsibility today, to distinguish, disidentify and denounce the seeds, elements and processes that deviate from godliness, carefulness and wholeness.
