This prophetic teaching is aimed at opening up the meaning of sobriety and its importance in the life of a believer. This accompanies and supports a prophetic message released 10/10 2023. READ MESSAGE
Sobriety is a whole study, but I will emphasize 7 points below as I pray that Holy Spirit will open the eyes of your understanding and cause you to perceive, weigh, hear, and be activated in Him.
Sober is not sadness and soulnessness, it is soundness and seriousness that strips away facades and fakeness, and allows pure joy, freedom, and excitement to come into our reality.
It is the state in which wisdom, revelation, understanding and knowledge of the Kingdom flows in freely, and submission, obedience, dependence, humility, and reverence, flows out of us as a pleasing offering to our King.
Sober is the state that allows us to yield and live in accordance with the will, way, and Word of God.
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10 NKJV
As believers, we must be able to discern and distinguish good from evil, but without sobriety we cannot develop this necessary defense mechanism.
“So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”” 1 Peter 1:13-16 NLT
We are called to be holy. The Hebrew word for “holy” is kodesh and its root meaning is ‘to be set apart for a specific purpose.’ We cannot become holy, set apart or specifically informed without our contribution of sobriety.
“For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2 NKJV
Sobriety allows us to reconnect with Holy Spirit here and NOW so we can constantly access the grace we need to persevere and complete our assignments.
For a believer sobriety is an access way to the realm of eternity, a mark of activated authority and ammunition under the Helmet of Salvation.
Sober is how we satisfy and see God’s Kingdom because it is the internal state that fosters the supernatural development of Kingdom discipline, distinction, and dominance.
God is not in the extreme and only in/on the strait and narrow do we find Divine truth, life, and light. These are the pillars of eternal building and development.
“Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it. And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid[c] on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.” Matthew 16:18-19 NLT
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
Sobriety creates space for the Holy Spirit to work in us, on us and through us.
The more room that Holy Spirit gets in us, the more fortified, functional, and fearless we become.
Sobriety facilitates access to uninterrupted transmissions from Heaven (revelation, downloads, solutions, and empowerment). It is how we are kept safe, smart, and nimble, in a place of oneness with the Godhead.
When you are truly sober, you carry neither too much nor too little, and you are quick on your feet to testify, stand, occupy, and expand the Kingdom of God on the earth.
Blessings,
