Sharing is caring!
In these days of recovery and rebuilding, our hearts are tender and our hands are full. Many are rising to restore what was lost, to mend what was broken, and to hope again. Yet even in our best intentions, God reminds us that how we rebuild matters. True restoration begins not with resources or resolve, but with righteousness. For what is not founded on Him cannot last, no matter how noble the effort. Every rebuilding must begin with repentance and return.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”
Psalm 127:1 NKJV
The temptation is to rush back to what once was, but God is not calling us backwards – He is calling us forward. His mercy allows what is unstable to fall so that what is true can take root. He is refining hearts and teaching us to build with His Word as our blueprint and His Spirit as our guide. When we build His way, what rises carries His presence, peace and protection. Speed can raise walls, but only righteousness can lay a firm foundation.
Let us, therefore, choose to rebuild with clean hands and surrendered hearts. In every plan, decision, and partnership, may His counsel lead. For “good” without God will not endure, but good in God restores, redeems, and remains. The future we long for will be born from holiness. Goodness is not what feels right – it is what aligns with Him.
Action Steps:
Prayer:
Father, we thank You that even in loss, You remain our builder and defender. Thank You for the mercy to begin again. Teach us to rebuild the right way – on truth, humility, and obedience to Your Word. Uproot every foundation that is not of You, and establish us in righteousness. May what we build bring glory to Your name and stand firm through every season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Shalom!
