Sharing is caring!
There are moments life does not simply bend us – it breaks us. Seasons when the weight of consequence, loss, or divine correction presses heavily upon the soul. Yet Scripture reveals a truth that transforms our understanding of these moments: In God’s hands, brokenness becomes an offering. Every crushing can become a calling when brought to God in humility.
What seems like disaster is rarely the end; more often, it is the beginning of deliverance. God uses the very places we feel undone to redirect our steps and rescue our hearts. His mercy interrupts our drift, His love confronts our entanglements, and His kindness draws us back from the snares of the enemy. In the breaking, He is saving us from what would have completely destroyed us. God allows what is unstable to fall so that what is eternal can stand.
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart— these, O God, You will not despise.”
Psalm 51:17 NKJV
Our response in these moments matters. A crushed heart surrendered to God becomes fertile ground for His purpose. Like the grape that yields to the press, our surrender releases what was hidden within:
Brokenness becomes the soil where divine destiny grows. The way forward begins where pride ends and surrender begins. When we fall at His feet, we fall forward into His future.
Action Steps:
Prayer:
Father, thank You that You never despise a broken and contrite heart. In every crushing, draw us back to You. Rescue us from the traps we could not see and the patterns we could not break. As we lay our brokenness before You, make it an offering that bears lasting fruit. Restore us, refine us, and lead us into the fulfilment of Your promises. May our falling become falling forward into Your mercy and destiny. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Shalom!
