Battle Strategies Exposé – The Blood

On October 24, 2023, I had a dream that I subsequently titled ‘The Blood.’ In this dream God showed me a list consisting of 3 battle strategies that were also keys to maintaining a victorious life. In the dream the Lord God was highlighting and emphasizing the second item on the list, which was written in bold and in caps  – THE BLOOD.

I went into the Bible to look up verses and increase my knowledge of the purpose, power, and privilege of the Blood of Jesus Christ. Note below 5 priceless verses and principles that stood out to me.

1. The life is in The Blood.

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.”  Leviticus 17:11

2. Our Victory, Consecration and Restoration come Only by The Blood of Jesus

“ Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, It has come at last – salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Christ.  For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth— the one who accuses them before our God day and night. And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.” Revelation 12:10 – 11

3. His Blood speaks the Best Word.

“But you have come to … Jesus, the Mediator of a new covenant [uniting God and man], and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks [of mercy], a better and nobler and more gracious message than the blood of Abel [which cried out for vengeance].” Hebrews 12: 24

4. It’s a NEW covenant, in His Blood.

“In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.” Luke 22:20

“Under the old system, the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer could cleanse people’s bodies from ceremonial impurity. Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. That is why he is the one who mediates a new covenant between God and people, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them. For Christ died to set them free from the penalty of the sins they had committed under that first covenant.”  Hebrews 9: 13 – 15

5. The Blood is The Standard of Authority and Assault

“So they will fear the name of the Lord from the west and His glory from the rising of the sun. For He will come in like a narrow, rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives [overwhelming the enemy].” Isaiah 59:19 AMP

The Blood is Life and It is NOW

Since December 11, 2023, I have sensed, noticed, and experienced even greater intensity in the realm of the spirit. The enemy is launching attacks from all sides, and God is doing and leading us into new things. Our Brilliant God is also releasing hybrid strategies of the old and new, as He uses the enemy to expose our open doors, weaknesses, iniquities, stains, dross, unhealthy habits and dust particles.

The purification process and pressure are on!

One of the ways He is unmasking our fault lines is through dreams. After having one of those dreams, I recall jumping out of my sleep into a flood of condemnation and guilt. I initially panicked as I allowed myself to sink into the enemy’s sea of accusations. I remember feeling a rush of shame along with a cocktail of self-pity, comparison, unrest, and insecurity. I was confused in that moment as I gave into the fear of this ‘valley of the shadow of death.’

I also remember having a sense of desperation, and as tears ran down my face I called out to my Daddy for help. It was then that I heard His familiar voice, as He whispered, so simply and sweetly –  “The Blood, The Blood, The Blood.”

I was immediately reminded of Truth, and I became empowered to rebuke the enemy and reject his lies, thus taking back the reigns.

Take Hold of Your Forgiveness and Cleansing

I had previously confessed the sin that came up in the dream, and I believed for forgiveness. But my reaction to the dream was telling me that the process was unfinished and that deliverance was not complete. My soul was so disturbed by these old, but familiar, thoughts of impurity, unworthiness, unfitness and damaged beyond repair.

I have been enjoying the freedom of boldly approaching God’s throne and entering into the Holy of Holies to commune with Him, face to face. But something had remained on me like a stain of disgrace. And to be honest I was feeling and seeing the signs, but I misunderstood them, underestimated them and ignored them.

Still a bit unclear about why I had the dream, I inquired of Holy Spirit. It was then that He took me back to the scripture below.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

God was using this dream to expose what I had not realized, given adequate attention to, nor properly connected together.

When we choose to confess our sins to God there are two promised results that we must have faith for, and at times even wrestle for. Forgiveness and Cleansing are the results that come to us, curtesy of The Life and The Blood of the Lamb.

Forgiveness is more about our relationship and reconciliation to God, while the cleansing is more about our conscience, skin and walk. To reinforce the truth of my forgiveness and cleansing, The Holy Spirit led me to do a prophetic act which featured my imagination and The Blood of Jesus.

The Blood is Living and Active 

Prophetic acts have become a necessary tool in my walk because they help to influence my mind and merge my natural and supernatural realities. After rebuking and rejecting the enemy and his attempt, I executed the prophetic act before the Lord.

In this prophetic act, I pictured The Blood first as a spring that was located in my inner most being. The spring started to gush, creating a powerful flow that first washed away my sin, guilt, and confusion. I saw the river of His Blood consume and occupy the newly vacant spaces, and a new life began to be bred within me – The Life that comes from The Lord God Himself.

His Blood was also speaking a new Word over me, and within me.  The Word is life, and it replaced the lies I had believed and agreed with in that moment. As His Word released these words, His grace and joy refilled my soul – forgiven, healed, chosen, sanctified, clothed, bought with a price, already Mine and made new.    

The Blood is Yesterday, Today and Forever

When the enemy makes his move to steal, kill and destroy, remember that The Blood is your divine covering and your most powerful weapon of offense and defense.

The measure of anything we do to completion is – in spirit and in truth. The process happens at 3 levels, immediate, continuing and eternal. It was His Blood that brought us salvation but it is also His Blood that is key to continuing, maintaining, and remaining saved.

The Blood is NOW… The Blood Prevails… The Blood is Forever ours!

His Blood will forever speak life and restore our souls with the joy of salvation, sanity, stature, and sustenance. Be resolute to take hold of this enduring forgiveness and cleansing.

In this season of exposing, cleansing, and renewing, God is flushing out all unrighteousness out of His people. And, He is simultaneously breeding His Life in us, in spirit and in truth.

Believe, Receive and Arm yourself with The Blood of Jesus Christ!
