Sharing is caring!
I want to begin by sharing a recent dream, because Scripture shows us that the Lord often uses pictures to help us recognise what He is already saying through His Word.
In the dream, I was in a house with people who felt like family, not by blood, but by relationship. The atmosphere felt familiar and safe, yet it was clear that something was no longer working as it should. In one room, the floor had begun to break down. It had not collapsed, and we could still walk on it, but parts of it had deteriorated enough that we could see clearly what was underneath.
Beneath the floor was a river. The water was almost still, yet unmistakably alive. It was fresh, pure, and crystal clear, with smooth river stones visible beneath the surface. There was no sense of danger or stagnation in it. What stood out was that the water was not the problem as the river had always been there. The issue was that the structure above it could no longer carry what it was meant to remain connected to.
At the same time, in another part of the house, water was leaking from above. The walls were swelling, the paint was bubbling, and water was pooling on the floor. Again, the water itself was not destructive. It was simply more than the structure had the capacity to carry.
I remember thinking in the dream, “We can manage this for now, but not for long.”
Eventually, we left the house, not in panic and not because it collapsed, but because it was time to move on. Before leaving, I took up a book that was personal to me. This book carried the written record, revelation, and direction the Lord had been giving me.
As I sat with the Lord about this dream, it became clear that this word was not only about personal inner formation. It is also a word to the Body of Christ in this kairos moment. Every move of God requires a corresponding posture and readiness from His people.
Kairos Alignment and Our Corporate Posture
What we are seeing is not the failure of the river. The river was quiet, steady, and constant. It was always meant to be connected to the structure so that growth and maturity could continue as the river flowed. The problem now is not the presence of the river, or even an increase in flow, but disconnection.
“For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 3:11 NKJV
Many structures within the Body of Christ were formed from sincere obedience and good intent, and they served their purpose well. But they were never meant to remain spiritually static. Structures that are not maintained and aligned with increasing maturity eventually lose the capacity to carry new revelation and flow. When God’s timing advances but posture does not, strain follows.
Jesus addressed this when He spoke about wineskins. New wine is not poured into old wineskins, not because the wine is wrong and not because the wineskin was useless, but because it no longer has the capacity to stretch with what God is releasing now. This is not condemnation, but revelation and invitation.
Alignment in this season will not be achieved through effort, strategy, or structural reform alone. Scripture reminds us that what God builds and sustains is never established by human strength, wisdom, or ingenuity, but by His Spirit.
“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.”
Zechariah 4:6 NKJV
The first requirement from us is honesty—acknowledging that past effectiveness does not guarantee present alignment, whether personal or corporate. The Lord is not withdrawing His river. He is calling His people into renewed structure, posture, and understanding, and into their true identity, so that what He is releasing can be carried without loss.
This call to alignment is not a reduction of mandate, but a restoration of order, because identity and integrity always precede authority and the fulfilment of God-given assignments.
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’”
Genesis 1:27–28 NKJV
This word is ultimately about the kind of Church the Lord is building in this hour. Jesus said, “I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
A Church that cannot be prevailed against is not defined by activity, but by alignment. From the beginning, God entrusted dominion only to those formed in His image, and He is still preparing a people who can carry authority, life, and healing without mixture or contradiction. This is the work of alignment for sustainable flow.
Life Requires Order, Not Less Water
From the beginning, Scripture teaches us that life flourishes where God’s order is honoured. In Genesis 1, God separates the waters above from the waters below. Water is not removed; it is ordered. That separation creates the conditions where life can exist and grow.
Later, in Genesis 7, that separation collapses. The waters come together, and destruction follows—not because God withdrew goodness, and not because water is evil, but because boundaries that once carried life were no longer intact.
Then God responds not with destruction, but with a call.
“Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you.”
Genesis 12:1 NKJV
Restoration and the promised land come through covenant and obedience.
Roots, Foundations, and True Alignment
This brings us to what the Lord is highlighting in this season: alignment. Not alignment with trends, systems, man-made structures, or momentum, but alignment with His order.
At the heart of this is a gentle restoration of sonship. The Lord is confronting independence that has quietly learned to call itself maturity. He is restoring dependence, not as weakness, but as trust rooted in His sovereignty and our role as stewards. He is restoring obedience over busyness, not because He desires less fruit, but because He desires sustainable life with good lasting fruit.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”Jeremiah 17:7–8 NKJV
The flow of living water from within is promised. The question is whether the inner life is ordered in a way that allows that flow to bring eternal life.
“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
John 7:38 NKJV
This is why many are experiencing deeper internal work in this season. The Lord is not only addressing outward behaviour. He is going back to the root—places where conclusions were formed early and quietly became identity. He is restoring truth where something untrue settled and limited life.
“Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear… for it will be revealed by fire.”
1 Corinthians 3:12–15 NKJV
Fire in Scripture is not rejection of the person, but testing of what has been built. It removes what cannot endure so what is precious can remain.
Any internal or external structure that creates a layer between the roots and the water will eventually fail under testing. The Lord is exposing everything that blocks, competes with, or substitutes for the one true source of life.
Surrender is the Right Response
When Scripture speaks of Christ returning for a spotless Bride, it is not speaking of performance or perfection. It is speaking of an undivided, unmixed, aligned people. This alignment is not an end in itself, but preparation for responsibility. The Lord is not tearing down His house; He is turning over tables to restore true order, power, and honour to His Church, so that she may faithfully carry His mandate to make disciples of nations and steward the earth as sons of God.
This is an invitation to assess, return, and align before strain becomes collapse—to trust covenant over control and to allow simple obedience to shape the direction of our lives.
The response the Lord is asking for is not haste, self-correction, or outward change, but a yielded attentiveness that listens for the Holy Spirit’s revelation and responds in obedience as He brings alignment in His timing.
Keep your eyes and ears on Him as you surrender your own heart, will and entire soul. This work is for all of us, and it begins on the inside.

🙇🏽♀️This writing has arranged some thoughts I have been having.
Grateful for the possible answers as to why things are flowing or not flowing in a particular way.
His Will. My Becoming.
His Timing. My to do or not do list.
My resting in His Way!
The picture of the water gently corroding through a part of the house reminds me of an encounter I had with the Holy Spirit… for the longest time I had been reluctant/ resisting to fully commit myself to a life of prayer (intercession… and then one evening after an intercession meeting I had attended I left there realizing that the encounter I had opened my eyes to how my own vessel had paint coming off and the walls were swelling…I too thought to myself that “I could continue for a while delaying the inevitable but I know i dont have much more time” … I attended another meeting… and the next… and oneday I realized how the structure I was holding onto for so long, had now collapsed under the gentle pressure of the water…
So I find myself here now – rebuilding, wall for wall… each room being put back together….just this time with a new foundation…a firm foundation…
Thank you for sharing this timely word and prophetic call.
