Upgrade Your Game

Life is often referred to as a game, and we don’t usually play games to lose….well, I hope not. So our wisdom tells us,

read the board,
assess your position, possession and principles,
identify the move that would give you the best advantage.

But, things are becoming harder to read, assess and figure out. The enemy knows our practices, proclivities and prejudices so he works against us, keeping us bound and going in circles – round, round, round. Even with our best intensions and human interventions, we still struggle to find a balance between gaining the world and liberating our souls. Perhaps it is time to turn to the highest wisdom – Upgrade from the Permissible to the Beneficial.

“All things are lawful [that is, morally legitimate, permissible], but not all things are beneficial or advantageous. All things are lawful, but not all things are constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual life].” 1 Corinthians 10:23

With the increasing threats and overall decline around us, this is not a season or time for ‘anything goes’ but a season for ‘God said so.’ You and I need the foundation, covering and backing of Heaven, now more than ever. But, God is the one who dictates His Word, ways and terms. He is making new moves, so we want to always be aware of where He is and what He is saying concerning the earth. Our old and cold thinking, attitudes, habits and garments will not do in this new, so we must now upgrade our game and join Heaven’s crew.

As you upgrade from permissible to beneficial, the first step is to choose Christ to gain access and fresh, new eyes. And with new eyes you can read the board better, assess what is true and choose the move that God approves. Upgrade your game and watch God work it out for you.

Blessings!
